Spectrum Router Login
Access your Spectrum (Charter) router or modem to change WiFi password, manage devices, and configure network settings. Use the My Spectrum app (recommended) or login via web interface.
Login to Spectrum Router:

Tip: Newer Spectrum routers have a unique password printed on the router label. Look for "Admin Password" or "Router Password".
My Spectrum App (Easiest)
The recommended way to manage your Spectrum WiFi:
- Download My Spectrum app (iOS/Android)
- Sign in with your Spectrum account
- Tap Services → Internet
- Tap Manage Network
- Change WiFi name, password, and more

- Connect to your Spectrum WiFi or ethernet
- Open web browser
- Type
http://192.168.1.1in address bar - Enter username and password
- Click Login

Change WiFi Password
Via My Spectrum App
- Open My Spectrum app
- Go to Services → Internet
- Tap Manage Network
- Tap WiFi Network Name & Password
- Edit password and tap Save
Via Web Interface
- Login to 192.168.1.1
- Go to Wireless or WiFi Settings
- Find Security or Password
- Enter new password
- Click Apply or Save
What You Can Configure
- WiFi Name (SSID) — Change network name
- WiFi Password — Set new wireless password
- Guest Network — Separate WiFi for visitors
- WiFi Band — 2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz settings
- Channel Selection — Change to reduce interference
- Connected Devices — View all devices
- Parental Controls — Block content, set schedules
- Port Forwarding — For gaming and servers
Using Your Own Router
You can use your own router with Spectrum:
- Return Spectrum's WiFi router (saves $5/month)
- Keep just the modem (or buy your own approved modem)
- Connect your router to the modem via ethernet
- Configure your router as normal
Check Spectrum's approved modem list before purchasing.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |

| Can't reach 192.168.1.1 | Make sure you're on Spectrum WiFi, not mobile data |
| Password not working | Try "admin/admin" or check router label |
| Limited settings in web UI | Use My Spectrum app for full features |
| No internet | Restart modem and router, check cables |
| Slow speeds | Run speed test in app, restart equipment |
| Forgot WiFi password | Check router label or use My Spectrum app |
Restart Equipment
- Unplug modem power cord
- If separate router, unplug it too
- Wait 60 seconds
- Plug modem back in, wait for lights
- Plug router back in
- Wait 2-3 minutes for connection
Factory Reset
- Find reset button (pinhole on back)
- Press and hold with paperclip for 15 seconds
- Wait for router to restart
- Login with default credentials
